Learning About Photography By Enrolling in a

Using a camera is very simple. The person will just look through the lens; point it at the subject and then click on the button. The results of doing this are very different for each person when these have been developed. The individual might notice that the image was too bright, too dark or

Canon PowerShot A60 Digital Camera: Solid First Digital

rating: 5/5 by: mothadone - Easy to use, good pictures for 2MP, AA batteries. - I bought mine online on sale for $200 Canadian over 2 years ago. In the time I've owned it, I've taken thousands of pictures in all climates on one pair of 2100 mih NiMd rechargeable batteries that I got at Radio Shack for about $50 with a Quick Charger.

DIY cable release and serial cable for Canon Digital

Filed under: Digital Cameras While DSLR prices are dropping, the prices for accessories are not, so the folks over at Make have come up with a way to make a cable release and serial-port cable out of electronics you might already have laying around. The cable release, which helps to prevent camera-shake during long-exposures, requires a 2.5-mm stereo phone plug, some flexible wire and a switch. The serial-port cable, which allows you to make "bulb" exposures with the Remote Capture software included with the camera, requires a few more parts and some coding knowledge, but the reward could be well worth the effort for astrophotographers or people who want more cred at the next Maker Faire. How to Get Your Photography Noticed, Gain Recognition and Start Making

When a reader wrote, "Recently I have taken an interest in photography and am taking a photography class at a local community college." She then asked, "How do I get my artwork noticed by someone who can do something about it?" She added that her art, "... is something that I am very passionate about and I want people to see and hear my message through my art." Questions like, "who do I show my art to?" and "How do I get my work out there?" are common to myriads of amateur and professional photographers and artists alike. Since "a picture can often be more powerful than someone giving a speech," an important question for many is "how do I get my work
